Zeiss LSM 510META Confocal Microscope

http://confocal.jhu.edu/current-equipment/zeiss-lsm-510-meta

Reminder:

* the Zeiss LSM510META is 10 years old

* Zeiss eliminated service contracts

* several components have failed already, including eyes:LSM parfocality,

and META detector blue-green emission range (fortunately can be covered

by Ch2=DAPI, Ch3=Green).

When some 'key' component fails, we are more likely to turn the stand into

a widefield automated microscope than pay Zeiss lots of money to get one thing

so another key part can fail soon after.

The good news: we have an excellent NIH S10 shared instrumentation grant submitted.
